Full Description:
Lieutenant William Turner, 2nd Battalion New Jersey Volunteers, to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Was captured in North Carolina in October 1780, exchanged in June 1781 but by a violation of the agreement was detained until 25 March 1783. As a result his bat and forage were not drawn and having lost all his baggage when captured and having expended a considerable sum of money during his imprisonment, he is much distressed. Prays bat and forage money during his detention by the enemy. Marked 'Disallowed 27 April 1783'.
