Full Description:
Governor George Clinton to Egbert Benson, Attorney-General. Newburgh. Instructions. To go to New York and offer sincere congratulations on the peace. To say that he (Clinton) is authorised to make a convention for obtaining possesion of the southern district of the state and to give protection to British troops. Benson to report immediately on his return.
