Full Description:
Poyntz to Gordon Biddulph & Gordon. Pay Office. The present reduced state of the military chest and a total deficiency in the fund appropriated for pay and subsistence of the troops makes it absolutely necessary for them to take measures for raising the necessary supplies, which he believes will be sufficient to take up subsistence bills amounting to £43,631 0s 2d sterling now due, and also equal to the other immediate needs of the public service.
