Full Description:
[Maurice Morgann] to Messrs Gordon Biddulph & Gordon. New York. To the effect that Carleton, unwilling to believe that their refusal to furnish him with lists of bills of exchange arises from a determination of withholding from him information necessary for his superintendence of military funds, only requires for the present that they provide him with all speed the gross account and number of bills drawn by them within the district of New York since 1 January 1782, and a separate account of those drawn in Charleston from the same date to its evacuation.
