Full Description:
Carleton to Townshend. New York. Two letters. First encloses copies of letters from Carleton to Haldimand, Washington, Mr Livingston, secretary for foreign affairs, the French Minister and Governor Tonyn as per the accompanying schedule (15 letters listed). Second encloses copy of a letter from eighteen clergymen setting out a plan for an episcopate to be established in Nova Scotia and his observations thereon.
