Full Description:
One memorial from Frederick Herlitz and two from Herlitz & Blackwell to Carleton. All three memorials on the subject of the debts owed by Captain De Frank or Franck, Regiment of Hesse Hanau and their efforts to secure payment from him and Colonel de Taneke, commanding officer of the regiment. Herlitz asks Carleton to order Captain De Frank to make payment of the debt owing to him. Herlitz & Blackwell ask that, as de Franck cannot be sued through the civil courts, Carleton considers their case and adopts such measures for their relief as he thinks appropriate. Also ask that Carleton order Tanecke to fulfil his engagement and pay the whole of De Franck's bat and forage money.
