Full Description:
Lancaster. Return of deficiencies of clothing and necessaries of the Anspach troops by being detained in Chester County, totalling £417 3s 9d Pennsylvania currency. Note at foot 'The above are the deficiencies from the general invoices (several clothings, beddings and things for officers and men excepted that shall be returned separately) as appeared, when compared with those taken in presence of Lieutenant Beattie of the 3rd Pennsylvania Regiment in the service of the United States of America and John Laumann an inhabitant of Lancaster upon the arrival of the goods at this place from Chester county by George Daig, Pay and Quartermaster Major to the Anspach Troops'.
