Full Description:
John Ruggles, Richard Ruggles and William Chandler to Carleton. Memorial. That in 1775 their loyalty to the Crown forced them to seek safety in Boston; that John and Richard Ruggles have each part received a Government allowance of £200 a year and William Chandler £150 a year; that their continued loyalty induces them to go to Nova Scotia for which they are now embarked; that during their long exile they have been obliged to incur a number of small debts which they are unable to pay and therefore ask for as much of their pensions to be paid in advance as will enable them to discharge those debts.
