Carleton to Major-General Paterson. New York. Introduces Lieutenant-Colonel Stephen De Lancey, Major Barclay and Edward Winslow Esquire who have been nominated by the Provincial Corps as their agents to go to Nova Scotia to look out for future settlements there. Recommends them for assistance and preference in the location of lands. [letter similar to item no 7499].
