Full Description:
1st Battalion 42 Regiment or Royal Highland Regiment, commanded by General Lord John Murray, from 24 February to 24 April 1783 inclusive. Listed under, names, amount each, and total. £31 14s 4d for which 60 days is £1,904 10s which includes the subsistence of one man unlisted. With deductions for subsistence for sergeants prisoners, corporals, drummer, and 55 privates, total balance £1810. Signed by Captain [ ? ] Paymaster, Cashier W Shipman, and Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Graham.
