Full Description:
Thomas Brown, Superintendent of Indian Affairs to Carleton. St Augustine, Florida. As there is uncertainty as to whether or not the Indians of East Florida will turn to the Crown of Spain, Brown is commanded by the king that all the offices in Carleton's department are to withdraw as speedily as possible. In obedience to that order, has sent expresses to the Creeks and Cherokees, interpreters and trades to provide for their safety. Discusses futher the situation with the Indians and the safety of the inhabitants.
