Full Description:
John Cruden Esquire to James Clitherall. St Augustine, East Florida. Two letters. First letter giving authority and empowering Clitherall to take into his possession and custody, all 'negroes' in the province that were sequestered in Carolina and who have escaped from there since 16 September 1780. Second letter is to Governor Tonyn informing that Clitherall will take possession of the 'negroes'.
