Full Description:
William Gibbes and others to Carleton. Charleston, South Carolina. The Vestry of Church Wardens of St Michael's parish state that the bells of the church were taken down and carried away by Major Fraile as a military perquisite of the commanding officer of the Royal Artillery. As they were purchased by private subscription of the inhabitants, apprehend that they should be restored. Ask that Carleton interfere on behalf of the parish.
