Full Description:
Major William Anstruther to [Carleton]. Bermuda. Discussion which includes the hope of the safety of the 'Mentor', and the remarks and memorandum by Lieutenant Slack to 'illucidate' [i.e. make clear]. That there are no barracks at St George's and the conditions are not good, has 'memorialled' repeatedly and done things at his own expense. Wants His Excellency to send only about 1,000 bricks, which he says, would contribute more to the real benefit of the troops.
