Full Description:
Lord Townsend to Carleton. Hanover Square. The master of the ordnance storeships 'Conquest', 'Kingston' and 'Gibralter' being chartered for nine months, are unemployed at present and Lord North is of opinion that there is not a sufficient quantity of shipping at New York for the removal of the stores, artillery, etc., there. The masters of the three ships have directions to proceed from Portsmouth to New York, and upon arrival follow His Excellency's directions.
