Full Description:
General Washington. Orangetown. Instructions to the commissioners appointed by him to superintend embarkations at New York. Given to the commissioners, Egbert Benson, Lieutenant-Colonel William S Smith and Daniel Parker. Discusses agreeing with the '7th Article of the Provisional Treaty', that all prisoners of both sides are to be set at liberty and that they will withdraw without causing any damage or destruction to the property and 'negroes' of the American inhabitants. Also mentions that Congress should empower all persons to assist and that he is to be informed of any infraction of the letter or spirit.
