Full Description:
Horse Guards, London. Public announcement of the sentence passed on Lieutenant-Colonel James Cockburn, former commander of His Majesty's Forces in the [Dutch] Island of St Eustatius when captured by French forces [under the Marquis de Bouille], November 1781. Found guilty of culpable neglect of his duties and sentenced to be cashiered and news of this to be circulated to every military body in His Majesty's Service.
