Full Description:
Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur, St Augustine to Carleton. Reports that a number of persons have been spreading rumours among the troops that the Provincial regiments are to be sent to the West and East Indies without their consent. Due to this some were on the point of mutiny and were demanding their discharge. However, the ringleaders have been identified and punished and all is now quiet. He adds that a detachment of artillery has been put in the fort.
