Full Description:
Brigadier-General Alured Clarke to Major-General Lincoln. Philadelphia. Discussion with regard to his supposing that many of the German prisoners of war who are dispersed through the country, would be glad to return to their respective corps if they knew of the opportunity that presents itself. This is also the case for those who are intented as servants. Encloses a letter for his perusal. Asks that Lincoln take such steps for a speedy liberation of the prisoners that remain in his hands.
