Full Description:
Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur to Carleton. St Augustine, Florida. Transmits lists of warrants. Will try to pay the money to the people to whom it is immediately owing but prices are so high and the people so 'necessitous' that it is necessary that the heads of departments should have money in their hands for current payments. The £10,000 now come will not pay the garrison for the muster commencing 25 June. Mr Gale has enough cash by drawing on bills on New York to pay the troops the ensuing muster.
