Rombouts Precinct and Poughkeepsie Precinct, Duchess County. Newspaper cutting. Two items. Item 1, Resolutions agreed to at the meeting of the people of Rombouts Precinct with regard to the behaviour of the British Tories whom they believed are guilty of crimes in America. Tories will not be allowed to live in the precinct, they will be hunted out to be expelled and nobody will associate with anyone who harbours or entertains a Tory. Item 2, Discussing the danger that the freeholders and inhabitants of Poughkeepsie Precinct would be exposed to if the enemy were allowed to live amongst them now that the war is over.
