Full Description:
'Lord North to the Officer Commanding HM Forces at Halifax'. Whitehall. As an inducement to the non-commissioned officers and privates belonging to the corps ordered to be disbanded in Nova Scotia to settle in that province, His Majesty has granted to every officer settling there two hundred acres and to every private fifty acres, exclusive of what he shall be entitled to in right of his family and free of all charges for the first ten years. Each man shall also be provided with the usual rations allowed him for one year and be permitted to retain his arms and accoutrements.
