Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Thomas Aston Coffin Esquire the sum of £829 14s sterling. Being to enable him to pay the wages due to the assistant clerks in office and artificers, and boat and batteaux men employed in the King's yard between 24 February to 24 april 1783. Under the direction of John Hamilton Esquire, Agent for small craft, as per the five accounts numbered 1-5 here too annexed and for the several payments of which he is to be accountable.
