Full Description:
Major-General Paterson, Halifax to Carleton, No 13. Reports an incident at Penobscot between Captain Wurmb, commanding a detachment of Anspach troops and Archibald McLean of the 74th Regiment. The former was wounded and died. McLean immediately absconded and is returned 'abscent without leave' in the monthly returns.
