Full Description:
Richard FitzPatrick, War Office to Carleton acknowledges receipt of recent letters with enclosures. Encloses lists of officers promoted and leaves of absence granted. Also, His Majesty's approval of Mr Lorimer's appointment as Inspector of Regimental Hospitals as long as his pay being the same as that of Hospital Surgeon. He must not receive both salaries. Mr Morris can be paid as Deputy Purveyor as long as he is employed in that capacity but his commission does not warrant him to half-pay. Lieutenant Armstrong of the 64th Regiment is promoted to the vacant company in that Corps. General Robertson's claim for clothing lost on service will be settled at home.
