Full Description:
Gordon, Biddulph and Gordon, New York, to Carleton, an answer [see item No 7925]. Cash received below par was £150,000 Sterling which was paid to the Deputy Paymaster-General this week. Money raised since at 5% discount is about £32,000 which enables them to meet the subsistence bills drawn on rhem. They believe no longer required to draw at a discount unless His Excellency requests this.
