Full Description:
[General Sir Guy Carleton] to Governor John Parr. Letter from New York enclosing a return on Westchester refugees who had embarked for Cumberland, Nova Scotia with a recommendation that they be granted some land for their services rendered. Also enclosed, was a return of refugees who had embarked for the St John's River on two ships sent to Penobscot as they wished to settle in Nova Scotia, and their numbers would be passed on with the recommendation that they too be allowed to settle there. Commissioned officers in the militia destined for St John's, Annapolis Royal and Cumberland would also be aboard.
