Full Description:
Lieutenant S Jarvis, South Carolina Royalists. A letter sent to Mr Morgann, from Headquarters, on orders from the Commander-in-Chief, by George Beckwith, aide de Camp, regarding the treatment meted out by the population of Danbury [Connecticut] to this individual, and the threats it contained. Having sent to Lieutenant-Colonel Jimmerson of the Continental Army who despatched a guard 'to protect me till next morning'.
