Full Description:
Hessian Prisoners at Mount Hope to Lieutenant-General de Lossberg. An extract of a letter requesting not to abandon them as their release had been delayed due to the witholding of payment of £30 for them. Being 'kept in slavery, they will buy their liberty with their arrears of pay and the little their parents can give them'. 'They will do anything rather than abandon their country'.
