North Carolina Independent Company. Abstract of 365 days pay due the North Carolina Independant Company doing duty with the New York Volunteers who were taken prisoners and have since returned, from 25 June 1782 to 24 June 1783. Listed under, number, rank, pay per day, amount per day, number of days, and total amount. Totalling £41 0s 6d. Signed by Captain William Gray, Lieutenant-Colonel George Turnbull, Deputy Inspector-General of Provincial Forces Augustine Prevost, Cashier William Shipman, and W. Chipman. Also shown are an account of monies paid the private men of the North Carolina Independent Company when prisoners of war by Herman W. Ryland Esquire.
