Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Brigadier-General Alured Clarke, Mustermaster-General of the Foreign Troops serving in North America the sum of £103 10s sterling. Being an allowance for him as Mustermaster-General from 8 March to 30 September 1782 inclusive at 10s per diem. Second document is a list of warrants granted by His Excellency Sir Guy Carleton for monies ordered to be paid into the hands of William Deane Poyntz, Deputy-Paymaster-General in New York, between 1 April and 30 June 1783. Listed under number, date, by whom paid, sterling amount, and upon what account. Totalling £4,588 10s 3¾d sterling.
