Full Description:
[Carleton] to Major-General Baron De Riedesel. New York. Received his letter of 21 June by Lieutenant D'Aniers. Since writing on the 6 June the Brunswick troops under the charge of Lieutenant Reinking have sailed for Europe. Has written to the American Secretary at War to have the men at Rutland sent in as soon as possible and Major Bauermeister has gone to Philadelphia to expedite that business with some other, wherein the Hessians are concerned. When the men arrive they shall be sent to Europe. Has granted Lieutenant Reinking £5,000 on account and encloses an embarkation return of the troops who sailed under his charge. This letter is sent by Lieutenant D'Aniers.
