Full Description:
Jonathan Clawson to Carleton. New York. Memorial. He is late of Woodbridge, New Jersey and writes with regards to his loss of property, sickness, persecution and distresses. Wishes to go with his large family to Nova Scotia. Asks relief to enable him to carry his wishes into effect. Accompanied by certificates from Frederick Smith and Daniel Cox dated 12 July 1783. Also a note by Samuel Shoemaker recommending him for further relief, and another signed by Major Mackenzie which points out that Clawson received £50 in November last.
