Full Description:
Joseph Stansbury, Merchant. Deposition before William Smith. That in 1780 he was arrested and imprisoned in Philadelphia on a charge of illicit trade with the British. That he was allowed to remove to New York, and in June last he went with his family and servants to a house he had hired at Moore's Town, New Jersey. That he was at once arrested by a warrant from Governor Livingston and ordered to return to New York. His family are still in New Jersey. Signed by Stansbury and Smith.
