Full Description:
T Gilfillan, Deputy Quartermaster-General. New York. Captain Gilfillan understood that the three clerks mentioned on the face of the annexed abstract were allowed by His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief, as Brigadier-General Abercrombie, Quartermaster-General mentioned nothing to the contrary before he sailed from hence for England. Noted that one of the three named, Hugh Cairnes leaves the employ and embarks on or before Thursday next for England.
