Full Description:
George Fisher. New York. Affidavit. An inhabitant of the city of New York being duly sworn on the 'Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, deposeth and saith' that the bill now produced before the police number 175, dated Office of Finance 15th June 1783, signed Robert Morris and directed to John Swanwich Esquire, Philadelphia and which is counterfeit, he received in payment of three hats and a piece of calico from one William May who is now confined in the Provost Guard in this city, on account of passing the said bill and several others of a similar kind.
