Carleton to Brigadier-General H E Fox. New York. Discussion with regard to the refugees of Nova Scotia and his direction of sending more provisions to carry them through the winter. The sending of a battalion, or part of a battalion to Port Roseway, and the erection of works for the defence of new settlements forming in Nova Scotia. Remarks that you will be pleased to order the usual bounty of 200 days batt, baggage and forage money to be issued to such of the German troops as are embarked and to such of them as may hereafter embark from your district.
