Full Description:
Carleton to Alexander Thompson Esquire. New York. Having authorised Brigadier-General Fox, whom I have appointed to the command of His Majesty's troops in the district of Nova Scotia, to grant warrants for the subsistence and extraordinary expenses of the troops under his command. Thompson is hereby directed and authorized to receive and pay such warrants as he may issue for the above mentioned purposes, and all powers formerly granted for issuing warrants are hereby revoked.
