Full Description:
Major James Gordon, 80th Regiment to Major Frederick MacKenzie. New York. Account of the services of Lieutenant Nicolson who was ensign and adjutant for five years in one of the battalions of the Scots Brigade in the service of Holland when the 80th Regiment was raised. After he was appointed a lietuenant and was then advised to purchase the Adjutancey of the Regiment. Gordon begs he will recommend Nicholson to the Commander-in-Chief.
