Full Description:
Draft of notice or proclamation. Unsigned. New York. The Commander-in-Chief can only recommend to the Governor of Nova Scotia the granting of lands to persons who are actually going into the province and mean to settle there immediately, as grants to absentees would impede the settling of the province. Such German officers and soldiers as are going to Nova Scotia immediately will be recommended to the governor for grants of lands for themselves, free of 'quit' rents, fees or expences of any kind. The names of such persons as are going by each opportunity to be sent to Major MacKenzie at the Secretary's Office, New York.
