Full Description:
Carleton to the President of Congress [Elias Boudinot]. New York. He will see by the papers enclosed the detection and imprisonment of the counterfeiters or passers of certain notes, commonly called Morris's notes. In view of the extent of the investigations and the important discoveries already made thinks it due to the public to give Congress an opportunity to appoint persons of their confidence to be present at a Board he means to constitute to prosecute the enquiries to the utmost. Hopes to know the resolutions of Congress on this subject as soon as possible.
