Full Description:
John Huyck, of Kenderhook, County of Albany, to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Joined Burgoyne's army in 1777 and remained there until the Convention when he was permitted to go to Canada and thence to this place. Has always maintained himself without any public aid and now finds himelf obliged to leave the United States, his parents and a comfortable living with them. Asks for some public aid to enable him to go to Canada. At foot two certificates from Peter Van [Alstine?] and W. V[an] Schaak.
