Full Description:
Philip J Livingston to Major McKenzie. New York. Proposes to embark on Friday for Nova Scotia. Asks him to inform Carleton that his accounts with the Refugee Fund on Long Island have been audited and found correct. After payment of his annual allowance of £250 sterling to 16 July there is a balance due of £7 6s 4¼d and that unless the allowance is continued he will be unable to support his family or build a house for them in Nova Scotia. Asks that he be granted two quarters allowance in advance.
