Full Description:
John Ross, Lieutenant commanding 71st Regiment, to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Specifying as required the sum wished for to satisfy the wants of the regiment namely £649 0s 7½d sterling to pay Messrs Strachan & Mackenzie, merchants for necessaries provided since June last by order of Ross and £500 sterling to be given to the grenadiers of McLeod's Company and others of the regiment whose names were omitted in the settling accounts by the paymaster to 21 October 1781.
