Full Description:
Examination of Benjamin Lewis. Is a neighbour of John Power the printer in Reade Street. Was present at Power's arrest; was ordered to take the plates found in a search of Power's house to Black Sam's where they were opened in front of six gentlemen, some of whom he understood were American Commissioners. Reports that one said that the plates were the things that had killed their money and another was very bitter in his expressions against Power and would have him hanged if he could.
