Full Description:
Sarah Grant to Carleton. Memorial. (No date). Is the widow of Alexander Grant, late Major Commandant of the New York Volunteers, killed at the siege of Fort Montgomery (sic); her present situation; asks for such stipend as Carleton might think reasonable to give her children subsistence and the education she thinks them (from their father's character) entitled to. Says Colonel Beverley Robinson can give the information needed.
