Bernard Michael Houseal, New York [translator for British and German troops] to Major Frederick Mackenzie. Requests answers to his memorials of May and July. States that he cannot remain in New York once the British have left and thinks that Halifax is a suitable new home as he has official connections with Nova Scotia.
