Full Description:
William Armstrong, Deputy Quarter-Master General, New York to Major Mackenzie. He protests against a claim made by William Davis and [?] Sharpley are presenting for hire of waggons etc for transport of clothing for prisoners from Wilmington to Lancaster. Asserts that they have already been paid £96 in Pennsylvania currency over and above the agreed hire price of the waggons and that the £102 now claimed is unreasonable.
