Full Description:
Brigadier-General H E Fox to Carleton. Halifax. Covers numerous matters: embarkations of Major-General Paterson on the 'Magicienne'; all the German troops from this province,;and Brigadier-General Campbell. Also on the sending of troops to Port Roseway and Governor Parr's response; reductions made in the various departments in Nova Scotia; allocation of land to the King's American Dragoons in place of their present encampment; the battalion of British recruits under the command of Captain Ball, 63rd Regiment; orders given to the comanding officer 70th Regiment; handling of apprehended German deserters; a memorial from Forster Hutchinson brother of the late governor of Massachusetts Bay; and his comments on an enclosed letter from Governor Parr.
