Full Description:
Joseph Chew to Major George Beckwith. New York. Concerning the enclosed memorial and list which he asks to be laid before Carleton. Many of the people being his old neighbours, of whose attachment to the King he is well aware, makes him feel their distress. If Carleton wishes to make particular enquiry Chew will bring the memorialists to him so that they can fully explain their situation.
